Lost Item at Zushi Station Safely Delivered Overseas

Recently, Forwarding Service Japan assisted a customer who had forgotten their jacket at Zushi Station in Kanagawa Prefecture after returning home overseas. We handled the entire process on their behalf: confirming the item, picking it up from the station, packing it carefully, and sending it abroad.

A Favorite Jacket Forgotten at Zushi Station

Our client was visiting from Europe. While exploring Tokyo and Kamakura, they took a short break at Zushi Station and placed their favorite jacket on a bench. They only noticed it was missing after boarding the train to Narita Airport for their early morning flight home. With no way to return to Zushi in time, they looked for help and contacted us.

Confirming the Item with the Station

As soon as we received the inquiry, we contacted the JR lost-and-found office. After checking the color, brand, and details, the staff confirmed that the jacket was indeed at Zushi Station. We confirmed the required documents with them and scheduled a pickup date.

Our Staff Retrieved the Item in Person

Our staff visited Zushi Station, presented the necessary identification and authorization documents, and retrieved the jacket. The process was smooth, and the item had been stored carefully.

Photo Confirmation and Packing for International Shipping

Once the jacket arrived at our warehouse, we took a photo and sent it to the client for confirmation. After receiving approval, we packed the item securely to ensure it would travel safely overseas.

Shipped via EMS: Arrived Safely in Europe

At the client’s request, the jacket was shipped via EMS (Express Mail Service) by Japan Post, which includes full tracking. We monitored the shipment and provided updates along the way. About a week later, the client confirmed that the jacket had arrived without any issues.
