Lost Item at Zushi Station Safely Delivered Overseas

Zushi Station

Forwarding Service Japan (Lost & Found JAPAN)

Traveling in a foreign country is exciting—but it also means there’s always a chance of leaving something behind.
It happens far more often than most people expect.

Recently, Forwarding Service Japan (Lost & Found JAPAN) assisted a traveler who accidentally left their jacket at Zushi Station after returning home overseas.
We handled everything on their behalf: confirming the item, picking it up directly from the station, packing it securely, and sending it abroad.

Here’s how it all unfolded.

■ A Favorite Jacket Forgotten at Zushi Station

Our client was visiting from Europe.
While exploring Tokyo and Kamakura, they took a short break at Zushi Station and placed their favorite jacket on a bench… only to forget it there.

By the time they noticed, they were already on the train to Narita Airport, preparing for an early morning flight back home.
With no way to return to Zushi, they searched for help and reached out to Forwarding Service Japan (Lost & Found JAPAN).

■ Confirming the Item with the Station

Right after receiving their message, we contacted the Zushi Station lost-and-found office.
After verifying the jacket’s color, brand, and details, the staff confirmed:

“Yes, we have it here.”

With the item located, we arranged a date for collection.

■ Our Staff Retrieved the Item in Person

On the scheduled day, our staff traveled to Zushi Station, presented the required identification and authorization documents, and successfully retrieved the jacket.

The station staff mentioned that overseas travelers often leave items behind, so the process went smoothly.
The jacket had been stored in good condition, exactly as described by the client.

■ Packing the Jacket for International Shipping

Clothing can lose its shape during transport, so we prepared it carefully for international shipping.

We selected:

  • A sturdy, well-sized box

  • Protective padding to maintain its shape

  • Secure packaging suitable for long-distance shipping

Once packed, we shared photos with the customer so they could see the condition before shipment.
They told us they felt completely reassured.

■ Shipped via EMS → Arrived Safely in Europe

Following the customer’s request, we shipped the jacket using EMS (Express Mail Service) with full tracking.
We monitored the tracking on our side as well and updated the customer along the way.

About a week later, we received a message:

“I received my jacket! Thank you so much.”

Another successful delivery completed.
